Beatport’s iOS app is here, & with it a company rebrand

 


Beatport is making the bounce into the world of iOS with the launch of their new cellphone app for Beatport LINK users. It’s however each different step to boost the Beatport LINK ecosystem of DJ tools, with the intention of making an artist’s tune searching, buying, prepping, and taking part in waft even easier. Now, with a Beatport LINK subscription, you can make use of the issuer on your phone, by way of way of Beatport DJ’s internet app, or by using any of its integrations (i.e. Traktor PRO, Serato DJ, and Pioneer DJ).

The iOS app currently lets in you to create and manipulate playlists, as well as gives a “mobile-friendly” way of digging for tracks. An Android mannequin of the Beatport app is expected to be launched later this year, alongside with new sides to come in iOS updates down the road.



Robb McDaniels, Beatport’s CEO, explained:


“Over the last two years we have been relentless in our mission to develop products that empower our customers. Beatport LINK is the centerpiece of our strategy to give our customers the ability to stream the richest collection of electronic music available anywhere. This new mobile app is an important extension of the LINK platform, giving DJs the ability to discover new music, assemble and perfect performance-ready setlists and transition them directly into their native environments. It’s a hugely powerful tool that our customers have been asking for and one which we think they are going to love.”


But wait, there’s more: a rebrand for Beatport


As the mobile app was released earlier this week, Beatport also announced a brand refresh in collaboration with design firm Kurppa Hosk. This app release is now the first product to feature Beatport’s new brand logo, standing as the first brand redesign for the company since 2012.
